Fresh and Live Foodstuffs Business

GDH Guangnan Hong Company Limited

GDH Guangnan Hong Company Limited ("GDH Guangnan Hong") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group. Its businesses include the distribution of livestock and poultry, sale of live pigs, foodstuffs trading and retailing business. Currently, sale and distribution of livestock is the main profit contributor of the company.

GDH Guangnan Hong holds 70% interest in Brilliant Food Products Limited, 65% interest in GDH Food (Foshan) Company Limited, 51% interest in GDH Guangnan Live Pigs Trading Limited, a 13.21% interest in an associate, Hubei Jinxu Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. and a 34% interest in an associate, Guangdong Zijin Baojin Livestock Co., Ltd.

Distribution of livestock and poultry

The Group is originally the sole distributor in Hong Kong of poultry and livestock imported from the Guangdong Province as authorized by the then Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and the People's Government of Guangdong Province in the PRC. On 21 July 2007, the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC granted the Group the distributorship for importing live pigs from Mainland China (including and beyond Guangdong province) to Hong Kong. Currently, GDH Guangnan Hong's wholesale fresh and live products includes live pigs, live cattle, chilled poultry, fresh and chilled pork, etc. The Group's overall market share in the live pigs supply into Hong Kong from the mainland China maintain around 46% and it is one of the main suppliers in the live livestock and poultry market in Hong Kong.

Foodstuffs trading and retailing business

GDH Guangnan Hong foodstuffs trading businesses are the trading of chilled poultry and pork and frozen poultry, of which chilled foodstuffs is the main profit generator for this sector. GDH Guangnan Hong had started its local supermarket fresh meat retail business since 2010. As one of the main suppliers of the local chilled fresh market, GDH Guangnan Hong mainly imported chilled chicken, frozen chicken and chilled pork from the Mainland and abroad to supply large supermarkets and catering chained-stores in Hong Kong. After the acquisition of Brilliant Food in the second half of 2022, the Group will further expand its processing, wholesale and retail business in Hong Kong while deepening its layout in the slaughtering industry.

GDH Guangnan Hong (Guangdong) Company Limited

GDH Guangnan Hong (Guangdong) Company Limited ("GDH Food") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group. Founded in 2017, GDH Food has the right to export livestock and poultry to Hong Kong and Macao granted by the Ministry of Commerce and the export quota of live pigs issued by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province. It has the qualifications to import meat and reserve frozen meat. GDH Food is mainly engaged in the export of livestock and poultry for Hong Kong and Macau and the import of frozen meat, aquatic products and other comprehensive food. It is a premium partner of many well-known catering brands, retail leaders and international agricultural and food manufacturers.

GDH Food (Foshan) Company Limited

GDH Food (Foshan) Company Limited ("GDH Food Foshan") is an indirect subsidiary of the Group. Its slaughterhouse located in Nanhai District, Foshan City commenced operation in the first half of 2022, and pushed ahead with the work on slaughter lines, meat product processing in an orderly manner. In strict accordance with the meat inspection requirements of the government authorities, GDH Food Foshan comprehensively strengthened the supervision of meat product quality, strictly implemented the relevant inspection and quarantine systems, providing consumers with safe and quality fresh or processed food products.

GDH Food (Zhuhai) Company Limited

GDH Food (Zhuhai) Company Limited ("GDH Food Zhuhai") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group. Its subsidiaries are principally engaged in slaughterhouse operation, fresh meat supply in Macau, food processing, cold chain logistics and food product sales mainly in Zhuhai and Zhongshan. GDH Food Zhuhai has designated slaughtering enterprises, designated slaughtering licenses (including pigs, cattle and sheep) and export warrants. GDH Food Zhuhai is in the process of construction of a Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macau food processing plant in Doumen District, Zhuhai City and is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2023. After launching production, it will be a high-standard slaughterhouse integrating pig, cattle and sheep slaughtering in Doumen District.

Brilliant Food Products Limited

Brilliant Food Products Limited is an indirect subsidiary of the Group. It primarily engaged in wholesale and retail sales of fresh and frozen food in Hong Kong under the business names of "BRILLIANT FOOD" and "BRILLIANT FOOD SUPERMARKET".
